Chorale, for wind ensemble, is a simple and beautiful piece. It features a primary melody, of which I first conceived while playing around on the piano. The melody is teased throughout the piece, not fully developing until the finale. In between these teasings, there are interspersed moments of dissonance and secondary melodies that further contrast and enhance the primary melody.

Choral was premiered by the University of Northern Colorado’s Wind Ensemble on December 2nd, 2025.
